Prince Charles tests positive for coronavirus


Heir to the throne self-isolating at home in Scotland and is said to be ‘up and about’ Prince Charles has tested positive for coronavirus and is self-isolating at his home in Scotland, Clarence House has said. Charles, 71, is said to be “up and about” and in “good spirits” and has continued to work for the last few days. Doctors believe the earliest he would have been contagious was on 13 March. He last saw the Queen on 12 March, following an investiture. His last public engagement was also on 12 March. He has held private meetings since then. Buckingham Palace said: “Her Majesty the Queen remains in good health. The Queen last saw the Prince of Wales briefly on the morning of 12 March and is following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare.

'You must stay at home' - UK PM Boris Johnson puts UK on lockdown and lists the only four reasons Brits are allowed to leave their homes


UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday evening in a live televised address ordered citizens to stay at home unless it’s for work, as he declared the fight against Coronavirus “a national emergency”.He also stated that anyone found breaking the rules will be fined at least £30 and up to £1,000 if they fail to self-isolate. Johnson was angry that a lot of Brits were disobeying government advice by going to pubs and public places despite the thousands that have been infected and hundreds killed by the virus.

63-year-old Nigerian pathologist, Olumide Okunuga, has died of coronavirus, the doctor who lived in Italy, contracted the disease during a visit to Canada. The 44-year-old Italian, who is being held at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, Lagos, has made attempts to escape from the facility. A health worker at the Mainland Hospital, Yaba, who did not want to be named, told Punch that the man was angry and attempted to escape over the state of the centre.

Nigeria has recorded the first case of the deadly coronavirus, which broke out in China in January 2020. It was confirmed by the Ministry of Health in Lagos State, which reported it to the Federal Ministry of Health. The case was confirmed on the 27th of February 2020.
