The United States Government has warned that it will recover the over $308million looted and stashed abroad by former Head of State, the late Gen Sani Abacha if it is re-stolen in Nigeria. The threat followed a February 4 repatriation pact the Federal Government signed with the Americans and the government of Jersey to return the money.

Leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, has issued a threat to some journalists and the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.In a new video, the insurgent leader, speaking in Hausa, asked his men to go after Pantami for threatening to block the communication lines of the sect members. He reminded Pantami that his group had killed a famous Kano cleric in 2007, saying a similar fate could befall the minister.
