A Nigerian couple living in Rochdale, U.K., has been jailed for a string of child abuse and sexual assault. Shola Ogundare, a 49-year-old male, has been jailed for 15 years after appearing at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Friday, May 15, whilst Olwafunmilayo Emmanuel, 35, has been jailed for 4 years for her role in the crimes

Man seals his wife's private part with super glue


A manhunt has been launched for a man who sexually assaulted his wife after accusing her of infidelity on Saturday May 16.  The police in Tharaka South Sub-County in Kenya said the suspect first persuaded his wife to move from their Marimanti township home, fearing that he would be arrested after having travelled from Nairobi where there is a lockdown.

The Federal government has impounded an aircraft belonging to a UK-owned aviation company, Flair Air, for violating the flight ban in Nigeria. Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, announced this on his Twitter handle today May 17.

PDP gives FG 48-hour to declare Chinese doctors’ whereabouts


The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has given the Federal Government a 48-hour ultimatum to state the whereabouts of the Chinese medical team brought in purportedly to assist in the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. In a statement released by its spokesperson Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP said its position is predicated on the alarming declaration by the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, that he cannot account for the whereabouts of the Chinese doctors who were brought into the country from the epicentre of the pandemic, despite repeated warnings and disapprovals by medical experts and professional bodies.

A Ghanaian dad has been arrested by the police for battering his three-year-old son, Junior, for bedwetting and being stubborn. 26-year-old Ebenezer Nana Bonsu, disfigured the body of his son using a cane and a naked wire. According to Ghanaian media, Ebenezer and his son's mum live apart.

The Sokoto Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested two Chinese: Mr Meng Wei Kun and Mr Xu Koi for offering the sum of N50, 000,000( Fifty Million Naira only) as a bribe to its Zonal Head, Mr Abdullahi Lawal. The suspects were arrested on Monday, May 11, 2020, in Sokoto.

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria has kicked against plans by the Federal government to import the COVID-19 syrup being produced in Madagascar for the treatment of patients with the viral disease here in Nigeria. President Buhari has given a directive for the importation of the herbal syrup. Nigerian Correctional Service refuses to re-admit suspected killers of Afenifere leader, Pa Fasoranti’s daughter after being treated for Coronavirus



The Nigerian Correctional Services has reportedly refused to re-admit the three suspects arrested earlier over the murder of Mrs Olufunke Olakunrin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti. Recall that three suspects identified as Lawal Mazaje from the Felele area of Kogi State, Adamu Adamu from Jada area of Adamawa State, Mohammed Usman from Ilala area of Sokoto State, and Auwal Abubakar from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State, were arrested in April over the murder incident.
