George Mambezi, the Kenyan father who has gone viral for beating up his son who failed to sit for Maths and English exams, scored poorly in other courses and got an 'A' grade in music despite spending $21,000 on his school fees, has now responded to the criticism he has been receiving online since the video resurfaced.

ECOWAS leaders appoint President Buhari ‘'Champion of COVID-19 response'’ for Africa sub-region









Presidents of West African countries under the aegis of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government have appointed President Buhari as the ''Champion'' that will coordinate the COVID-19 response in the sub-region. A statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina, said the appointment took place today Thursday, April 23, at the Extraordinary ECOWAS Summit on COVID-19 which was held via teleconferencing under the Chairmanship of His Excellency, Mahamadou Issoufou, President of the Republic of Niger.

Governor Ayade appoints 19-year-old as personal assistant on technical affairs

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, has appointed 19-year-old Louis Okon as his Personal Assistant on Technical (Data Management) Affairs, making him the youngest political appointee in Nigeria. Okon was amongst the additional 427 aides appointed by Governor Ayade in Calabar on Monday. Those appointed include chairmen and members of boards of agencies as well as special assistants.
