Abiola Ajimobi made heaven, he is at peace with God – Former Oyo first lady, Florence Ajimobi says


Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, the widow of the former governor of Oyo state, late Abiola Ajimobi, says her husband made heaven and is currently at peace with God. The former first lady said this when she received a delegation of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ at her Oluyole, Ibadan home over the weekend. The former governor died on Thursday, June 25 in Lagos from COVID-19 complications.

Akpabio reportedly links former Delta state governors, James Ibori and Emmanuel Uduaghan, to some NDDC projects


The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has reportedly linked two former governors of Delta State, James Ibori and Emmanuel Uduaghan, to some of the projects that have been executed by the Niger Delta Development Commission, Punch reports. Akpabio in a letter sent to the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, listed the former governors as some of the beneficiaries of the projects by the commission.

Nigeria will pay back loan from China in 20 years - Amaechi

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed that the loan the Nigerian government got from China for the rail projects across the country will be paid back within 20 years. In a statement released on Saturday, August 1, the former Governor of Rivers state disclosed that China is the only country giving out loans with a low-interest rate of 2.8 percent.
