The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbihas expressed excitement at the news of the approval for a college of education in Iwo. The college of education which was approved by the Federal Government will be located in Iwo Local Government. Seeing the approval as a gift for himself, the Oluwo of Iwo took to social media to show how gladdened he is by the news.
He wrote: “I am a Successful king !!! Thank you very much, President Muhammadu Buhari, and thank you very much Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Asiwaju of Yorubaland,Former Gover Baba Bisi Akande, Senator Oriolowo, Hon Amobi and all other stakeholders… During my time, I successful have an elected Senator for Iwoland, An Ambassador from Iwo in the new Ambassadorial list and to crown it now A Federal College of Education approved today for me by President Muhammadu Buhari and the achievements will go on and on pelu Ashe Oba Kan soso tounje kabio kosi”.
