Amotekun begins training in Ekiti Sunday

The Corps Commander, Ekiti State Security Network, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen Joe Komolafe said on Wednesday that training for successful candidates for the outfit would begin on Sunday.

Four former employees of Signatious Hotel, Warri, Delta State, who were reportedly stripped on the order of the chairman of the hotel and former Minister of State for Education, Mr. Kenneth Gbagi, have demanded N1bn compensation and a public apology from him.

Kingmakers demand Oluwo’s removal for alleged misconduct

 

A group of 12 chiefs in Iwo town has demanded the removal of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, for allegedly engaging in acts unbecoming of a traditional ruler. The group, under the aegis of the Concerned Kingmakers of Iwoland, made the demand in a petition to the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.

October 1 sit-at-home because of Oduduwa Republic agitation –IPOB

 The Indigenous People of Biafra has declared October 1 a sit-at-home day across states in the South-East region, which it described as Biafraland. The IPOB stated that the sit-at-home declaration was in solidarity with its Yoruba brothers in the Diaspora agitating for the Oduduwa Republic.
